We ran a social campaign for Silver Pride, Friends of Dorothy and O2 to support the older LGBT+ community and increase engagement for a key event.

Project Overview

A campaign that brought real people together.

We worked with Silver Pride, Friends of Dorothy (now OutTogether), and O2 on a charity marketing campaign to help promote an event that supported and celebrated the older LGBT+ community. Our job was to manage the social media campaign and boost awareness and engagement.

Silver Pride is a not-for-profit organisation that works to create a safe, welcoming space for older LGBT+ people. They aim to bring people together, reduce loneliness, and support intergenerational inclusion.

The event was designed to support older LGBT+ individuals and share their experiences with the wider community. Through talks, workshops and relaxed social events, the goal was to encourage meaningful conversations and build connections across generations.

Our Involvement

Delivering an effective social media campaign.

Silver Pride asked us to lead the social campaign for the event. We worked alongside their team, Friends of Dorothy and O2 to make sure the content was relevant and consistent.

We responded to comments and messages to help create a sense of community. This allowed us to adjust the content as the campaign progressed and focus on what people cared about most.

We built a clear content calendar that mapped out all of the content, timings and platforms in advance. This helped us keep the campaign consistent and on schedule.

The Outcome

Increased interest and positive feedback.

The campaign helped drive attention to the event and encouraged real support from the community. Silver Pride, O2 and Friends of Dorothy were pleased with how the campaign went and the impact it had on event attendance.

This project showed how social media can help support important causes and build connections. We’re proud to have supported a campaign that helped give visibility to older voices in the LGBT+ community.
