We originally started working with The Luxury Travel Society when we designed their sister website “The Maldives Travel Society,” which you can read about here. They approached us about travel social media campaigns as they wanted it to accompany all of the other marketing that they were pursuing.
They wanted 30 social posts per month (one every day) for both The Luxury Travel Society and The Maldives Travel Society. They also required social media advertising services to boost their followers and get their hotels in front of more potential customers across Instagram and Facebook.
The content would involve a range of posts about their holidays, posts about each hotel that they have to offer, and more.
While content is important for all projects, it was particularly important for this project. This is due to the number of available hotels, small facts and selling points about each hotel, and more. Combining this with a massive amount of content that needed to be created, this was not an easy project.
Every month, we prepare content with no work required from The Luxury Travel Society. We source all of the content from their hotel’s resources or via their website, meaning that they can leave all of the social media work to us with absolutely nothing required from them.
Once the content is prepared, we load it all onto the client’s social media calendar, which they can access via a shared link. This allows them to review, amend, and approve the content that we have scheduled.
Getting the quality content that we had prepared in front of potential customers quickly was required, so we had to employ some meta adverts. While we were confident that we could grow the pages organically, we wanted to get a head start and paid ads are the best way to do this.
We deployed a few different types of adverts for this campaign to ensure we achieved maximum growth in all areas. Firstly, we ran a video advert that was designed to boost page followers and likes on Instagram and Facebook.
This campaign worked exceptionally well, as the Facebook page for The Luxury Travel Society saw almost 1,000 new Facebook page likes in just a few months and The Maldives Travel Society grew from 0 to 500 in just a month too (the first 500 is always the hardest). These were all targeted followers who had an interest in luxury holidays.
We also deployed post-boosting adverts to gain more exposure to particular hotels and information. These campaigns also boosted engagement and reach for all social media pages.
We achieved some fantastic results from this travel & hotels social media campaign, and there are certainly more to come (as we are still actively working on this project).
We’ve seen a massive influx in enquiries that have come from social media channels such as Instagram and Facebook. This is a direct result of the content we are publishing and advertising on social media. Not only that, but the social media campaigns have aided the enquiries received from the PPC campaigns that we are running too.
Due to the cost of the holidays being advertised, it’s very likely that potential customers are researching both companies before enquiring or making the purchase. Having an active and high-performing social media presence gives these potential customers the social proof and trust that they are looking for.
The Maldives Travel Society now has over 1,000 followers on Facebook. This gives them massive amounts of social proof compared to not having a page at all. It allows them to appear established and respected.
We’ve also seen massive growth on Facebook and Instagram for both pages. Every month, their content is seen by over 40,000 potential customers.
