Gym Flooring Bristol, a company specialising in premium flooring solutions for gyms and fitness facilities, asked us to develop a PPC campaign that focused primarily on targeting B2B leads after recently completing their website design project (click here to read).
This project was going to be a challenge, as we knew that the keywords John (the MD from Gym Flooring) wanted to target could be searched by a number of different people with different intents.
Due to the nature of Gym Flooring’s products, we had to be very careful and calculated with the keywords that we opted for in this pay-per-click campaign.
For example, the keyword “gym flooring” would be perfect on the surface level, but when we dug deeper into the data, we could see that the majority of people using this search term were looking for home gym flooring (B2C), which was not ideal.
We conducted further keyword research and identified specific keywords that were relevant to the B2B audience, such as “commercial gym flooring” and “gym flooring for businesses.” This allowed us to focus our efforts on attracting high-value leads.
To further refine our targeting and avoid attracting B2C leads, we implemented negative keywords, such as “home gym flooring” and “residential gym flooring,” ensuring that our ads did not appear for searches that were less likely to result in conversions.
In addition to the main PPC campaign, we ran a Google PPC retargeting campaign aimed at re-engaging with people who had already visited the Gym Flooring Bristol website through various Google platforms, such as YouTube and Gmail.
Thanks to the retargeting setup we implemented, this campaign had an extremely low CPC while driving additional conversions and strengthening the overall campaign performance.
By focusing on maintaining a low CPC while ensuring high-quality traffic, we were able to attract the right kind of visitors to Gym Flooring Bristol’s website.
The combination of our main PPC campaign and retargeting efforts resulted in a significant increase in high-value leads for the company. This success can be attributed to our attention to detail and our ability to optimise every aspect of the campaign, from keyword selection to location targeting.
