The Project

Where MCF were and where they wanted to be.

MCF are the the UK’s leading award-winning fulfilment centre providing ecommerce fulfilment for large businesses all over the UK. They provide fulfilment for companies such as The Range, Wilko, Silver Cross and more.

Before working with us, MCF had used a different company for their SEO, and they weren’t satisfied with the results. They wanted to be on the first page for the keywords “ecommerce fulfilment” and “fulfilment centre” as they are high-volume keywords. Unfortunately, their previous company wasn’t able to take them there.

Our job was to help them achieve this result while also improving all of their other keywords with the ultimate goal to increase leads generated from the website.

Keyword Research

We knew that we had a challenge on our hands.

When preparing for the campaign, we performed a massive amount of keyword and competitor research. This was vital for this project as the keywords that MCF wanted to target were extremely difficult, and the competitors were evidently spending a lot of money on their SEO efforts, making it difficult for MCF to compete.

For example, the keyword “ecommerce fulfilment” had a £9.77 cost per click. This meant that businesses were prepared to pay nearly ten pounds for every single click to their website. A high cost per click like this shows us that the keyword was extremely competitive.

The Work

Some of the work we do for this project.

Every month, we acquire multiple links from authors of high-quality blog websites with a similar relation to what MCF provides. Since we started providing these quality links, MCF’s exposure in Google skyrocketed (as you can see from the graph below taken from Google Search Console).

We also perform optimisation of their website pages and content on a daily basis. We set up lots of new pages on their website so that we could target more keywords like “high volume fulfilment”, “TikTok fulfilment” and more. This opened new doors for MCF as they were now tapping into new markets.

We regularly post articles and news content to the website too, allowing MCF to target people who are researching things related to their services.

Finally, while getting good positions is great, the website needs to stack up too. So, we regularly update the style and layout of the website to increase conversion rates.

The Results

What has been achieved so far from this campaign.

While we are still hard at work on MCF’s Google search engine growth, we do have some impressive results to share.

We’ve taken MCF from position 99+ on Google to position 5 for the keyword “ecommerce fulfilment” and position 4 for “fulfilment centre.” While we are not yet in position 1, it’s important to remember who MCF is competing against and how challenging it is to rank in the top 20 for such competitive keywords.

For the other 100+ keywords we are tracking, MCF ranks in position 1 for almost all of them. As a result, MCF receives daily high-quality leads from their website.
