15. Web, email and domain hosting.

Please find all of our terms and conditions for this service below. You automatically agree to these terms when using, affiliating and purchasing our services.

15.1. Provider. — All of our web hosting and email hosting services are provided by 20i. When using our web hosting and email hosting services you are required to follow their Terms & Conditions found (here).

15.2. Provider suspensions. — CreateTheWeb cannot be held responsible if 20i suspends your hosting account.

15.3. Provider offline. — CreateTheWeb cannot be held responsible if 20i were to go offline or remove your web hosting and email hosting services.

15.4. Moving hosting company. — We give you access to all the tools you need (within your control panel) to be able to transfer your account yourself. You are free to move your account from our servers at no extra charge. We do not lock you in. This being said, if you require any input or support (of any kind) from CreateTheWeb, you will be required to pay for our time and services.

15.5. Backups and data loss. — CreateTheWeb cannot be held responsible for any data loss within your account. While we do take regular backups, you are responsible for the integrity, health and security of the data within your account.

15.6. Restoring backups. — We give you access to all the tools you need (within your control panel) to be able to restore backups yourself (through our timeline backup system). This being said, if you require any input or support (of any kind) from CreateTheWeb to restore your backups, you will be required to pay £150.00 per restore plus any additional time taken resolving problems if they are encountered when restoring your data.

15.7. Maximum upload/download size. — The maximum FTP and web browser upload/download size is 5GB, above which you’ll need to use another method to transfer larger files sizes. One way we’d recommend is to activate SSH on your account (£30.00 for 30 days) and then use a client like WinSCP to upload over SSH. There are no limits in this case.

15.8. Processing capacity. — Unless the Hosting Service package you order includes a virtual private server, you will only be allowed to use a maximum of 10% of 20i's server processing capacity when using our Hosting.

15.9. Deleting mailboxes. Any mailboxes that have not been accessed for 100 clear days will be automatically deleted from our system.

15.10. CPU limitation. — We may allow your usage to exceed this CPU limitation, and we will speak to you about your hosting requirements if your usage has a detrimental effect on our other customers. Please note that this right is at our absolute discretion.

15.11. Acceptable Use Policy. When using the Services, you must comply with 20i's Acceptable Use Policy (here). You may find certain elements of this policy within this page (simply for your convivence), but you are still required to follow the Acceptable Use Policy (here) clearly set out by 20i.

15.12. Hosting the download of video, audio or other files. The Shared Hosting Services allow you ‘unlimited’ server space for normal routine “non-file-distribution” web usage. For websites that allow downloading of video, audio or other files we reserve the right to impose a bandwidth limit of two hundred and fifty (250) gigabytes per calendar month.

15.13. In your use of the Hosting Services (other than where you are using your own virtual private server), you may not:

  • 15.13.1. use more than 10% of 20i's platform's processing capacity. There are numerous activities that could cause such problems, including (but not limited to) CGI scripts and intensive FTP, PHP or HTTP operations
